Poetry. 1972-1992

From the age of 15 to18 I wrote poetry that rhymed, at 19 it turned into prose and was to become a major passion of my life through my twenties until painting took over the creative mantel. The poem The Stream was the starting point for a journey that was to take me into a metaphysical landscape.

Most of the poetry included here was written between 1972 to 1979 and were a catalyst for the early art work. I had intended the work to be a volume of poetry entitled: Fragments of Life. For over thirty years these works have remained discarded while I concentrated on other creative projects. The Fragments of Fragments have only recently been revised (2013/14) for inclusion on this web site. Dates for individual poems have been included when known, otherwise it can be assumed undated poems were written in the late 1970’s. There are some poems at the end that were written in the 1990’s, they are thus dated.
